About Shaffer's Rustic Mill
Shaffer's Rustic Mill is a mill at 11802 Jones Road in Houston, Texas. It turns local logs into milled wood and one-of-a-kind live edge pieces, and it sells slabs. The business describes its work as a place where "old-fashioned craftsmanship meets the beauty of nature." If you bring in your own logs, the mill will mill them for you. Milling prices vary, so you ask for a quote, which they say is free. They also do custom cuts, and every board is carefully kiln dried. The county they list as served is Harris. They say they work with makers, builders and weekend DIYers, and they invite people to visit the showroom. Hours are Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 2 PM. To get started, fill out some info and they will be in touch shortly. This suits a landowner who already has logs and wants them sawn into boards or slabs.
