Redemption Mill
About Redemption Mill
Redemption Mill is a sawmill and woodworking business at 101 Wood Trail in Kerrville, Texas. It has been in service since 2002 and serves Kerr County. The business describes itself as the largest mobile mill in Texas and says it is "able to slab 63 inch trees." It runs a portable sawmill on site and cuts beams, lumber and customers' logs to close tolerances. Its work includes milling mesquite, longleaf, antique timbers and logs, and it has milled hundreds of thousands of board feet. The shop also makes custom mantels and furniture from mesquite, cedar and hand hewn beams, often using wood that would otherwise have gone on the burn pile. Its "Redeemed Hearts" pieces come from the roughest wood, such as burled or beetle-marked trunks and fire-charred limbs, which it turns into finished features. The business keeps a large inventory of rough sawn barn wood and hand hewn beams, some possibly dating to the 1600s. Visits are by appointment only. This suits a landowner who wants logs or old timber milled into lumber, beams or furniture and is comfortable arranging a visit ahead of time. From redemptionmill.com, read 18 October 2026.
