Kuhn Custom Creation & Sawmilling

About Kuhn Custom Creation & Sawmilling

Kuhn Custom Creation & Sawmilling is a sawmill and woodworking shop in Christiansburg, Virginia. It mills logs in Southwest Virginia and has a kiln to dry the lumber afterward. In its own words, "We mill all our logs here in Southwest Virginia," and it serves Montgomery County. Custom sawmilling and lumber are the core of the work. The shop also makes hand crafted items, including cutting boards, charcuterie boards and coasters, and these can be personalized. The species it names are maple, walnut and cherry. Kiln drying is offered for lumber, and the shop invites landowners with logs to get in touch about having them milled or dried. Questions and log inquiries go through the contact form, and the shop reaches back out shortly from there. It suits a landowner with maple, walnut or cherry logs who wants them sawn and dried close to home, or someone who would like a hand crafted piece made from local lumber.
