Freeman's Sawmill
About Freeman's Sawmill
Freeman's Sawmill is a sawmill in Dadeville, Alabama, at 272 Alf Road. Lonnie Freeman is the owner-operator, and Shane Freeman is the sawmill manager and operator. The two of them saw, mill, and dry all of the wood themselves, so each plank is handcrafted, one at a time. You can reach them at 256.307.7754. The work falls into three parts: lumber sales, firewood, and tree cutting and removal. Because the business is small, they say they can focus on fine craftsmanship through knowledge, experience and old-fashioned hard work. Their own line about the boards is short: "No two are the same." The business works in Tallapoosa County. For a landowner with trees to clear or wood to turn into lumber, this is a small, owner-run mill that takes the job from the standing tree through to dried boards and firewood. It suits someone who wants close attention on each board and wants the people who cut and mill the wood to be the ones who dry and sell it. From shanefreeman316.wixsite.com, read 17 October 2026.
