About Turkey Creek
Turkey Creek Sawmill turns logs into lumber at 9850 McLeod Rd. in Mobile, Alabama, in the West Mobile area. It calls itself a local sawing service for Mobile and Alabama, and it lists portable sawmill service among what it does. The phone number is 1.251.751.2102. You can have as few as one log sawn or as many as you have. You can bring your logs to the mill, and you pick how they are cut and what sizes of lumber you get. The mill takes logs up to 18 feet long and 24 inches in diameter. It runs a band mill with a very thin kerf, which the business says wastes less wood and leaves a smoother face that means less work at the planer. Because it is a small business, it says you won't wait as long as you would at a large mill. The rate is $80.00 an hour, a flat rate. There is a $35.00 charge per blade only when something in a log, such as metal, damages a blade. Blades that dull from normal use are not charged. Hours are 4PM to 7PM Monday through Friday, and 8AM to 7PM on Saturday and Sunday. In their words, "We turn logs in to lumber," and "work directly for you." This suits a landowner near Mobile with a few logs who wants to choose the cut and deal with a small local mill. From turkeycreeksawmill.wixsite.com, read 17 October 2026.
