Liberty Timber Co
About Liberty Timber Co
Liberty Timber Co is a timber and land management business in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the surrounding areas. It buys timber, logs it, and does forest and land work for landowners. The woods it works in are pine and hardwood. The services run from timber buying and pricing to logging, which covers pine thinning, hardwood harvesting, and pine plantation harvesting. It also does forest management, land management, timber cruising, and woods road building and maintenance. The business lists forestry consulting and independent logging among its trades. It holds Certified Professional Logging Manager credentials, PLM 66603950, and follows Alabama's Best Management Practices on every logging job. On the job, the company aims to respect the land "as if it is our own." That means leaving roads in better shape than it found them, not logging when the ground is too wet, and picking up its trash. Close-out work covers road cleanup, water bars, streams, and food plots once the cut is finished. It says it sends products to the mills they are meant for, to capture the highest value possible. Planning and communication with the landowner and forester come first. The company has 31 years behind it and aims to be honest and fair with landowners, whether the tract is large or small. This suits a landowner with pine or hardwood who wants one outfit to buy the timber, cut it, and clean up afterward. From libertytimberco.com, read 17 October 2026.
