About Bent Tree Custom Sawing LLC
Bent Tree Custom Sawing LLC is a portable sawmilling business based in Churubusco, Indiana. If you've got logs on your own ground, "we bring the sawmill to you" rather than making you haul them out. They run a Woodmizer LT40 Wide, which they say handles larger logs than most mobile mills can take, so oversized yard trees or oak logs too big to move aren't wasted. The work covers portable sawmilling done right on your property, custom lumber cuts, dimensional rough-sawn lumber, thick mantels, unique geometric cuts, and live edge slabs for furniture or tables. Oak is the species they name specifically. To start a job, you send them details on your logs or project and they come back with an estimate. They're a family-owned outfit serving Fort Wayne and the surrounding Northern Indiana area, with Churubusco, Warsaw, and Kendallville named as places they reach, and Allen County as their listed service county. Their own words on how they work: "Your Tree, Your Table" sums up their approach to turning a landowner's log into something useful back on that same property. This fits a landowner with a log or two already down, or a prized tree that needs taking care of on-site, rather than someone managing a standing timber sale across many acres.
