Keller Lumber, Inc.

About Keller Lumber, Inc.

Keller Lumber, Inc. is a hardwood sawmill in Stevenson, Alabama. It also buys timber and land and does land management work. The business has been operating for nearly 50 years. The founder, Mr. Keller, began as a logger in the late 70s and early 80s. He bought the land where the mill now stands after a dispute over log prices, started monthly log sales, and the company grew from a log yard to a small circle mill to the size it is now. Their service area includes Jackson County. The main product is green Appalachian hardwood lumber, especially red and white oak, walnut, poplar, cherry and ash. They also carry dimensional pine and custom pieces such as live edge walnut. They buy veneer white oak and walnut. When they buy wood, they pay for open market wood by the Doyle scale, and sometimes by the ton. On the land side, they will help with harvesting timber, harvesting rock, replanting and hunting development. Their senior forester, Scotty Fleming, is a Registered Forester with the Alabama State Board of Registration for Foresters and has 28 years of experience in forest procurement and management. The foresters are Auburn graduates and work to Sustainable Forestry Initiative standards. To get a quote on timber or timberland, call 256.437.3154. This suits a landowner with oak, walnut or poplar who wants one firm to buy the wood, log it and do the land work afterward. From kellerlbr.com, read 17 October 2026.
